Synopsis: Naina {Preity Zinta} is a young woman, slightly ticked off for reasons more than one. His father committed suicide when she needed him the most, leaving Jennifer{Jaya bachchan}, his wife all alone. Lajjo{Sushma Seth}, Jennifer's mother-in-law blames Jennifer for the same. furthermore, Jennifer is unhappy because Lajjo refuses to accept Gia, a 6-year old girl whom Jennifer adopted. Even the restaurant Jennifer is running is not going great guns. in short, nothing is well on the Kapur family front. the only factors that redeem Naina's existence are his toiling and tolerant mother Jennifer, and her bumbling stumbling MBA classmate Rohit {Saif Ali Khan}. Meanwhile, Aman{Shah Rukh Khan}, a happy-go-lucky guy arrives in Naina's neighbourhood and soon changes everything around, thanks to his contagious joviality and jest for life. He proves to be the messiah for the Kapur family in every sort. Naina is not a happy camper initially but could remain unaffected by his charisma for long, and falls in love with him. On the contrary, some platonic moments arouse Rohit's fondness for Naina a bit more and he's in love too. But when Naina thinks of confessing her love to Aman, she realises that Aman is a married man. its only later when we find out that Aman lies because he is a heart patient and has a limited life to live. But since Aman loves Naina too, he wants some one's love to embrace Naina after him for which he finds Rohit suitable. Rohit who took no time to move after some pain, is somehow coaxed by Aman to re-think about his relation with Naina. Aman plans a strategic set of efforts and brings Rohit and Naina close. But when Naina finds out the truth, what follows is a complex string of pangs of helpless love. Aman meets his decided fate, but not before changing Naina's life forever.

Synopsis: 'Karz' is a story that moves across two lifetime. Monty (Rishi Kapoor) a heart-throb pop singer, discovers that in a past lifetime, he was murdered and dupted of his empire of tea estates by his own wife. 25 years later, in a new life, with a new face, he encounters the murderer... and a thrilling saga of karma and revenge follows. Sir Juda plans to take over the vast estate of Ranimaa, but finds out that the beneficiary is her son, Ravi Verma. He asks Ravi's girlfriend to marry him, and then have him killed accidentally, which she does. This devastates Ranimaa, and leaves the estate open for Sir Juda to take over. Years later, Monty Oberoi, who is a popular singer, surfaces into this story. He has visions of a murder taking place, and is unable to comprehend the meaning of these visions. His travesl take him to Ranimaa's estate, and it is then that he realizes the reason and motive of his birth.

Synopsis: The film is a story about the love between two Bombay teenagers of different classes - Raj Nath (Rishi Kapoor), son of a rich businessman Mr. Nath (played by Pran), and Bobby Braganza (Dimple Kapadia), daughter of a poor Christian fisherman Jack Braganza (played by Premnath). The couple first meet when Raj goes to meet his old governess, Mrs. Braganza. There, when he sees Bobby, it is love at first sight for him. As the story progresses, Raj realises that his relationship with the daughter of a poor fisherman is not taken kindly by his eccentric father. Upon Raj's insistence, Mr. Nath visits Jack to initiate talks of Raj and Bobby's wedding. But instead, Mr. Nath accuses Jack of using his daughter's beauty and charm to trap Raj for his money. He even offers him cash in exchange for Raj. Jack feels highly humiliated by this accusation and reciprocates by insulting Mr. Nath. Their talk enters a deadlock and spells doom for Raj and Bobby's tender love.

M. Nath engages Raj to a mentally challenged girl - Alka, played by Farida Jalal, in order to establish business ties with her father. But Raj runs away from home, to unite with Bobby. Eventually Mr. Nath realises his mistake too, and accepts Raj and Bobby in his family.

Synopsis: The film revolves around Professor Parimal Tripathi (Dharmendra), a botany professor who falls in love with and marries Sulekha (Sharmila Tagore). Parimal loves playing pranks, and is the antithesis of regular professors. Sulekha, on the other hand is in awe by her jijaji (brother-in-law) Raghavendra (Om Prakash). She considers her jijaji to be a person of high intellect and looks upon him as her idol. Parimal develops an inferiority complex thanks to Sulekha's excessive praise of her jijaji and decides to prove that he is also just as smart. Jijaji's pressing need for a driver who can speak pristine Hindi provides the perfect opportunity for Parimal to enter into his life. Parimal decides to become Pyaremohan Illahbadi, a motor mouth driver who pretends to hate the English language and speak only Hindi. So begins the comedy of errors, as Parimal and Sulekha play prank after prank on the unsuspecting jijaji.

First they pretend that Sulekha is not happy in her new marriage, then they put across the impression that Sulekha is having an affair with Pyaremohan, and if that was not enough they get Parimal’s long time friend Sukumar Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan), who is also a Professor, but of English literature, to temporarily act as Parimal and portray him as a serious and boring lecturer, the complete opposite of Parimal's character. Pyaremohan's excessively refined Hindi, his habit of correcting jijaji's usage of the language and his persistence in getting jijaji to teach him English all serve to irk jijaji to no end and provide for many laughs. Towards the end, SuKumar falls in love with and ends up marrying Vasudha (Jaya Bachchan) who at first believed he was Parimal, Pyaremohan reveals his true identity and jijaji finally admits that he too can make mistakes. The film revolves around the resolution of these funny mishaps.

Synopsis: A simpleton named Bhola (Sunil Dutt) falls in love with his neighbor Bindu (Saira Banu). To impress her he wants to sing to her. However, he isn't a good singer, so he uses the help of his friend, Guru (Kishore Kumar). Guru is a famous singer and he agrees to help his friend. While Guru is singing in the back, Bhola mouths the words to songs. Bindu is charmed by what she thinks is Bhola's singing. They both start to become friends and fall in love. Bindu has a music teacher named Master Pillai/Masterji (Mehmood). He is also in love with Bindu & is always proposing to her. Bindu loves Bhola so she refuses Masterji.

One day Bindu finds out about Bhola's lie. She is very upset and refuses to meet Bhola. In an angry rage, she decides to marry Masterji. They both prepare for the wedding, while Bhola thinks of a way to get his Bindu back.

On the wedding day, Guru gets an idea. He makes Bhola pretend to have committed suicide. He puts a fake note next to Bhola. Bhola has a noose around his neck and a chair next to him. Guru goes and tells the news to Bindu. She is shocked. She leaves her wedding altar and runs to Bhola. She reads the note and starts to repent. Bindu then tries to wake Bhola up. Bhola wakes up. Bindu is delighted. She tells Masterji that she wants to marry Bhola and he agrees. Bhola and Bindu get married.

Bhaskar's tĂȘte-a-tĂȘte with Anand makes him notice the colours behind all the despair and complexity in one's life and teaches him a lesson. After spreading happiness everywhere around himself and changing the lives of many, Anand as destined, leaves them all, which inspires Bhaskar to write a book on his life.
